Real Dreads, when to use which conditioner?

You have dreads from your own hair and want to take care of them. But there is a lot of products to choose from, so which one do you pick?

General care of dreads real dread conditioning

A must for everyone with dreadlocks is a good conditioning spray! A caring (conditioning) spray can be used for all types of hair; normal hair, dry hair and fatty hair. The spray doesn’t just care for your hair/dreads, but also gives them a lovely fresh smell.

The advice from Dreadshop is to use a product as natural as possible for your Real Dreads. Choose a conditioning spray that is made only, or as much as possible, from natural ingredients. When using non-natural ingredients, it can give you some irritation, specially when you have a sensitive scalp.

A conditioning spray always contains caring oils. Spray modestly on your dreads to prevent your hair from getting fatty. Once a day is more than enough!

An other advice for the general care of your dreads; keep your dreads in good shape by sleeping with a nightcap! Why? Read about it in our Blog.
