Types of Dreads

The overview shows that the weights of the dreads differ per type. The weight of Dreads depends on how much Henlon Hair (or Kanekalon Hair) is used to make the Dreads.

Number of Dreads

The more Dreads you use, the heavier the hair load. Especially with thin hair it is important to take this into account. When the hair is overloaded, you have a chance that you damage your own hair and that is of course not what you want. Make sure that you wear slightly less Dreads than the recommended amount with thin hair.

What weight with a head full of Dreads is good?

This actually differs per person. Some people have thinner hair or a sensitive scalp, so it is better to opt for less heavy hair load. Others have thicker hair and no sensitive scalp and can easily have a heavier hair load. Our advice is therefore an average advice. We assume a normal hair thickness, undamaged hair and a normal scalp.
